About
Run Talk Run exists to make both running and mental health support less intimidating and more accessible. A friendly, free and supportive group, Run Talk Run Dundee is a safe and open space to talk how you are doing: the good times, the not so good time and everything in between. Whilst we chat, we run/jog 5km. On Monday's we generally go along the waterfront, nice and flat! We don't care about speed or pace and nobody is left behind. Whether you're a seasoned ultra marathon runner or coming along for your first bit of exercise in a while, all are welcomed and encouraged. We meet outside the Olympia at the 'East Whale Lane Car Park' (see the event location marker above). If you're arriving by car, the car park is free after 6pm so you can drive directly to the meeting point. If you are thinking about coming along for the first time but are worried about the running, or the conversations, please don't be. Our run really is gentle, if we walk for a bit then that's fine (and it's easier to blether that way too!). And as much as conversations around mental health are encouraged and expected, there is no pressure to talk about anything you don't want to (we get it, talking about our mental health can be super scary!) - if you want to come along and just listen to the other runners, you will be welcomed all the same. If you have any questions at all, drop the run leader Martin a message here on Heylo. Looking forward to meeting you soon! Martin and the rest of the Monday crew By running with Run Talk Run you are agreeing that: • I am taking part at my own risk and I am in good health and physical condition to partake in this activity. • I accept all potential risk and hazards associated with running with Run Talk Run. Risks include, but are not limited to; falls, hazardous terrain, injury, contact (both physical and emotional!) with other participants, traffic, obstacles, weather, etc. • I am happy for Run Talk Run to take photographs (both stationary and in motion) whilst out on the run for use on social media platforms and the blog – runtalkrun.com. If you would like to submit any feedback, or report an incident or anything else, please do so by visiting runtalkrun.com/contactus
